Sue Style, Reginald D. Hunter, Health Spot #1 - Swiss Health Insurance

Broadcast on:
21 October, 2014

A few weeks ago we noticed mushrooms popping up all over...in the forests, on our way to the office, at the Migros and on the Menu at our favorite restaurants.  Sue Style, The English Show's very own food writer/contributor, was here this week to answer all of our questions about this autumn delicacy.  Where to find them, how to have them inspected for safety and of course how to prepare them.  Don't miss out on this once a year treat.  Finally, we couldn't let her go without asking about truffles....

Reporter at large Andrew Craven talked to stand-up comedian Reginald D. Hunter. Although originally from the southern state of Georgia in the US, for many years, Reginald has been polishing his refreshingly honest comedy skills in the UK, at top-flight places such as the Hammersmith Apollo and the Edinburgh Festival. He also performs to sell-out audiences as far afield as Australia. He's now touring some of Europe's most prestigious venues, and his very intelligent take on contemporary life was so over-subscribed in Basel recently that Guy Stevens, the organiser of the International Comedy Club, booked him for a follow-on gig the next night. And that's where The English Show caught up with him. Listen to the interview again here.

The English Show is proud to participate in Radio X's 'Gesundheitsspots'.  This is a series of short public service announcements designed to demystify and simplify the listener's understanding of Swiss Health Insurance and Health Services in the listener's native language.  To listen to this week's spot, which was an overview of the health insurance system, click here
