Roger Federer will face Tomas Berdych in the Australian Open quarterfinals.
Federer’s good friend and fiercest rival, Rafael Nadal had to retire from his match against Marin Cilic this afternoon due to a leg injury.
The match went to a fifth set with Cilic winning the first two games. Nadal then signaled to the chair umpire that he had to forfeit.
Nadal stated that too many players were getting injured due to continuously competing on hard surfaces.
