FC Basel defeat Grasshopper Club
Basel wasted little time in taking control of the match. Luca Zuffi scored the first goal after only seven minutes of action. His goal came with an assist from Albian Ajeti.
Fabian Eder Balanta increased the lead with a goal for Basel five minutes later thanks to an assist from Kevin Bua.
Teammate Ricky van Wolfswinkel added a third goal for Basel which deflated the Grasshopper Club.
Jean-Pierre Rhyner scored the lone goal for the Grasshoppers at the 85 minute mark. The goal didn’t seem to faze FC Basel as the team cruised to the 3-1 victory.
FC Basel is currently in second place in the Super League Division.
