FC Basel and FC Luzern play to a draw
St. Jakob Park was packed with over 25 thousand enthusiastic fans looking forward to another exciting match.
Luzern silenced the crowd nine minutes into the game after Marvin Schulz scored a goal.
Mohamed Elyounoussi drew the match for Basel eight minutes later after an assist from Michael Lang.
Both teams put on a defense clinic immediately afterwards, with neither team finding the goal for a little over an hour of action.
Albian Ajeti brought the hometown fans to their feet by putting Basel ahead with a goal at the 82 minute mark, thanks to an assist from Geoffroy Serey Die.
Luzern drew the match four minutes later when Pascal Schürpf scored. The score remained at two goals apiece until the time expired.
FC Basel remains in second place in the Super League Division.
