Basel Starwings win their first game of the season!
The Starwings struggled in the first quarter against Boncourt and were outscored by five points.
However, led by Justin Mitchell and Nemanja Calasan, the team went on a scoring frenzy in the second quarter and held a 46-41 lead at halftime.
The Starwings continued the onslaught by scoring three pointers and hitting free throws. The team led by 13 points in the third quarter.
Boncourt battled back in the final quarter but were unable to erase the deficit. The Starwings won the match with a score of 88-80.
Mitchell led the Starwings with 24 points while Calasan followed with 21 points.
The Starwings are currently 1-9 in the NLA Division.
