"Adieu" 2021 from The English Show

Broadcast on:
14 December, 2021

This is our last live broadcast of 2021, so we thought it fitting to play a variety of holiday music to wind down another year of The English Show. Fret not, as we'll be back on air at the usual time on January 11, 2022. Hard to believe another year has passed, so while we're reminiscing it's worth recalling and thanking some of our guests of 2021: thank you to Jake Dixon (one of our OG English Show corespondents), who has been busy writing books; The Bank For International Settlements and its staff that invited us as members of the press to preview their historic open-door days; Angelo Stamera, CEO of Freddy Burger Theater Management, who are the leading entertainment and events producers in Switzerland; musicians Jeff Hulett, The Upper Strata, Gojira, Amy Papiransky, as well as Basel label Sixteentimes Music; artist Larry McLaughlin; author Alnaaze Nathoo talking abut 50 Amazing Swiss Women; and of course so many local businesses, theatre companies, and community organisers.

Have a look at our "Shows" page, where you will see the entire archive of all of our guests from 2021 and stretching back a number of years beyond that.

A huge thank you also to our recurring contributors: Ian "The Gadget Guru" Ellery, and Carrie "The Queen Of Green" Aikman.

Looking forward to 2022, we hope you will join us as we bring you more guests, culture, German language skills, GREAT music and, of course, lots of laughs!

Wishing you happy holidays and all the very best for 2022!

Anna, Ben, Gio, Karin, Joel
