Magical Cafe, The French Letter, Expat Expo

Broadcast on:
23 May, 2017

Founder of the Magical Cafe, Jannick came in to tell us about this new venture - a family-friendly play cafe where children can play, draw and read, while parents can relax, enjoy a cup of coffee or tea with a cupcake or meet up. The Magical Cafe also offers workshops and special events and you can celebrate birthdays with themed parties and sweet tables.

The French Letter is a Basel region-focused, community-oriented newsletter.  Nathalie Swift, Stefani Baker, and Carolyn Douglas, the editors, joined us tonight.

Not just an information source, The French Letter provides access to the English-speaking community living and seeking to access the nearby French communities of Basel. Examples of their content: English-speaking service vendors in Southern Alsace, How-To's, and coming up soon: regional Gin distilleries. Subscribe at thefrenchletter16@gmail.com or find their Facebook page by clicking the link attached here.

And finally, a big thank you to everyone who stopped by at the Expat Expo and agreed to do an interview. We had 10-year-old Alfie, Steph from Ithaca and Emma from London on the show tonight, talking about their expat experience and what they like to do in Basel.
