Basel Chamber Voices, Academia Anti-Bullying Campaign, Gadget Guru - Consumer Electronics Show

Broadcast on:
31 January, 2017

On tonight's show, Basel Chamber Voices' Christa Michel and Museumsgruppe's Mireille Membrini came into the studio to talk about their upcoming concert programme. Basel Chamber Voices was born out of a project designed to share Welsh culture and music with the Swiss community and, indeed, also with the small group of singers involved. The Museumskonzärtli is a Fasnacht concert series that has taken place every two years since 1970, featuring the cream of the crop of piccolo players and drummers (the Museumsgruppe). Their joint concert will be a unique mix of Fasnacht sounds and a capella choir singing - not to be missed! Performance dates are 25 - 27 February in the Natural History Museum as well as a preview on 11 February in Riehen. Get your tickets at the Naturhistorisches Museum Basel or by writing to museumsgruppe@gmx.ch. Listen to the interview again here.

Our next guests were three pupils from Academia International School. Jake Dixon talked to the children about the school's anti-bullying campaign and what they did to support it. Listen to the interview again here.

Ian the Gadget Guru looks at two of the more interesting (weird) gadgets introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in early January. Listen to the segment again here.
