Médecins Sans Frontiers Series Part 3, Best Sights To See - Münster, Health Spots # 5 - Translation Services

Broadcast on:
22 December, 2015

This week, we had the third in a mini-series of shows looking at the work of the doctors, nurses and other experts at Médecins Sans Frontiers, the medical humanitarian organisation based in Geneva. Dr. Michelle Wright is joined again by Dr. Gabriel Alcoba to discuss how much of a problem measles is still causing, both in the developing world and also here in Switzerland. Listen to the segment again here.

Our Basel tour guide Madeleine Wamister told us about one of the Best Sights To See in Basel: the Münster, the city's main cathedral. The history of Basel began on the Münsterplatz, starting with the Celts and the Romans. The cathedral is a heritage site of national significance in Switzerland, characterised by its red sandstone architecture and coloured roof tiles. Enjoy a bird's eye view of Basel by climbing up one of the towers, or look over the Rhine to Germany and France from the Münster's terrace, the Pfalz.

The English Show is proud to participate in Radio X's 'Gesundheitsspots'. This is a series of short public service announcements designed to demystify Swiss health services in the listener's native language. This week's spot gives an overview over translation services. To listen to the segment again, click here.
