Fasnacht, Give Peace A Chance

Broadcast on:
24 February, 2015

Basel Fasnacht is a carnival that lasts for three days and nights. It began at 4am last  Monday morning and will wrap up at 4 a.m. on Thursday morning. It's 72 hours of throwing a city into colourful chaos - and it's 72 hours of drumming. We talked about our personal Fasnacht experiences and encouraged our listeners to go out and enjoy the festivities. Music, sweets, confetti..what more could you want?

Our music theme was based on peace.  We feel that the world is slowly falling apart due to senseless violence and people resorting to extreme force instead of using  their minds. Here is our playlist for the evening and we encourage you to give a listen to at least a few of them. Enjoy!
