Photo: Judith SchlosserIsmael Lorenzo, originally from Cuba, is a freelance photographer, working for theatres, press, publicity and art projects. He was also a professional dancer at one point. In 1998, he moved his career firmly towards photography and opened his own studio in Basel, his focus still clearly aimed at the familiar world of the theatre as the official photographer of the Basel Ballet. Our arts correspondent Kevin Richmond talked to Lorenzo about his work and an upcoming exhibition at the Theater Basel in the new year.
