Jay's Delights, Basel Children's Trust Cupcake Festival

Broadcast on:
19 August, 2014

Janet Kissling-Barreto of Jay's Delights came into the studio this week to tell us about making cakes for all occasions. Originally from New York, Janet has taken her skills and her love for arts, crafts, and sweets to a whole new level with her home-made and personally hand-crafted cakes and cupcakes. You can buy her products at Bider & Tanner (Aeschenvorstadt 2, Basel - 1st floor) or at Spira Fashion Gallery (Freie Strasse 42, Basel) - or arrange a personal consultation for your customised cake. Jay's Delights will be at the Klosterbergfest from August 29-31 - go by and say hi!

Continuing on the cupcake theme, Fatima Dastagir of the Basel Children's Trust talked to us about this week's Cupcake Festival. It'll take place on Saturday 23rd August, from 10am to 5pm at Greifengasse - by the statue of Helvetia on the Klein Basel side of Mittlerebrucke. Go buy, go try, go cast your vote for the best cupcakes in town!

The kind folks from SV Group are opening new restaurant Spiga in Basel and have asked us to help them find 20 listeners who would like to join them for a FREE TEST LUNCH. If you are free 11:30-14:00 on Thursday, 28 August and are interested, let us know on The English Show's Facebook page ASAP or write to us at info@theenglishshow.com and we'll send you an invite...make sure to include your e-mail address.
