Four Paws, Rob Stuart

This week, we talked to Julie Stillhart, the Country Manager Switzerland for animal welfare organisation Four Paws - or Vier Pfoten in German. Four Paws started in Austria and now has offices worldwide, including in Zurich. The organisation helps animals in need and promotes species-appropriate animal husbandry. We also had our cinema contributor Rob Stuart on the show. He told us about Orange Open Air Cinema, which starts in Basel next month. The huge outdoor screen is put up on the historic Münsterplatz from 7th to 31st August, 2014. You'll be able to see films such as "Pulp Fiction", "American Hustle", "Dallas Buyers Club" and classics "Casablanca" and Chaplin's "The Kid". In cinemas, check out American drama "Fruitvale Station"; director Scott Graham's "Shell", set in the Scottish Highlands; Richard Linklater's "Boyhood" with Ethan Hawke; "The Two Faces of January", based on a thriller by Patricia Highsmith, starring Kirsten Dunst, Viggo Mortensen and Oscar Isaac; "Out of the Furnace" with Woody Harrelson and Seth McFarlane's "A Million Ways to Die in the West" with Charlize Theron and Liam Neeson.

 

Our music theme was based on soul and blues. We played Ray Charles, Hall and Oates, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Macy Gray, Jackson 5, Curtis Mayfield, Percy Sledge and Ben E. King.
