Sue Style, Picks Up Recycling, Academia International School

Broadcast on:
1 July, 2014

We had the pleasure of having our food expert Sue Style in the studio this week. She told us about Indian food, which left our stomachs rumbling. Sue recommends a visit to Jay's im Ackermannshof for a tasty meal. Owner Jay Kumar hails originally from Bangalore and describes his cooking as “international Indian”, fusing elements from both South India and Europe. At lunch it’s all about simplicity and speed, with meat, fish and veggie options from CHF19.30. Evenings are more leisurely with a bit more choice.

We also featured more interviews from this year's Expat Expo. Representatives from Picks Up Recycling talked about their services which include personally picking up your recyclables! We also had Francois Matthey from Academia International School. Academia has been around since 2009 and the school has seen tremendous growth in a short period of time.

This week's music theme was centred around new songs released in recent months. We played tracks by Arcane Roots, Cut Ribbons, Elbow, Kaiser Chiefs, Lily Allen, Metronomy, Neverage, The Black Keys, The Horrors, The Moles and The Tea Street Band.

Our Swissgerman phrase of the week was "Hopp Schwyyz!" ("Go Switzerland!"). Alas, it didn't help and Switzerland lost to Argentina 0-1. But it was nice while it lasted - and now you've got your phrase ready for the next World Cup!
