Broadcast on:
10 June, 2014

This week, Centrepoint's president John Baker came to the studio to tell us about the activities and opportunities at the Centrepoint organization. Whether you've just arrived in Basel or have been here for a while, why not drop by the Friday coffee morning to meet new people and see what Centrepoint can offer? There are conversation groups, art exhibitions, social events and more!

GIancun Caduff also dropped by to talk Autokino mit Car Hop. You will be treated to an authentic drive-in movie experience throughout the summer! Drive your car to Prattlen, park in one of the spots, order some food, drinks and enjoy a wonderful movie experience with the family from the comfort of your car! Movies on offer include Titanic, Reservoir Dogs, The Big Lebowski, The Dark Knight among others. The first viewing is on the 4th of July.

Last but not least, we had the organizer of Expat Expo 2014, Edward McGaugh, on the show. He talked about the importance of the Expo for expats, how the Expat Expo has become a staple in Basel and the 100 companies that will be represented. The Expat Expo will take place at the Congress Center in Basel on June 15th; doors open at 11am and the event will last until 5pm. Admission is free!

Our music this week was punk-rock themed: we played Billy Idol, Bad Religion, Buzzcocks, Dead Kennedys, Social Distortion, The Clash and The Misfits.

Don't forget: The English Show will be at the Expat Expo this Sunday - come by and say hi!
