Sue Style came into the studio to tell us about the Neue Alte Markthalle in Basel. This great old building, a Basel landmark near the train station, has been completely revamped and it's now a kind of food court with a whole bunch of great foods to taste or to take away, from Indian to Thai, Vietnamese, Lebanese - and of course Swiss! Opening hours are a bit random, so have a look at their website, but basically it's weekdays during working hours (great for lunch if you work somewhere near the SBB) and Saturday mornings. And there's even a Kids' Corner!

Meanwhile, Nic Oatridge took us to Adelboden. Adelboden is a lovely village on a terrace at the end of a valley and shares with Lenk an impressive terrain, including a good park for boarders, the GMP (Gran Masta Park) on Hahnenmoos - indeed this is one of the best resorts in Switzerland for boarders, even if the main valley run is a little flat in places. In addition to the main pistes there are a number of smaller areas nearby.

Swissgerman Phrase of the Week

This week's expression is "Merci viilmool" ("thanks a lot!"). For those times when "Merci" or "Danke" will not suffice!
