Sue Style, Nic Oatridge

We're always happy when Sue Style comes into the studio for her once-a-month food and drink slot. Bulging [excuse me, ed. Sue] with baking recipes or dissecting dinner ideas, Sue is never at a loss when it comes to what to eat - and what to drink with it. This week, seasonal as ever, she took Christmas and holiday food as her theme. "So, lots of cooking then?" quipped Andrew. "Not necessarily," parried the resident Queen of Cuisine and proceeded to give us a toolkit of ideas, recipes, tips and tricks to get you OUT of the kitchen and get your feet up. To find out more, you'll have to stream this week's show! And the recipes are up on Sue's site now.

Our skiing guru Nic Oatridge told us about Meiringen. This family-friendly resort has a surprisingly good range of slopes for all abilities and styles, albeit in modest quantities. Famous for being where Sherlock Holmes met his demise, it makes a good day out from Interlaken or Luzern or a pleasant destination for a short break. It is a good choice for beginners and intermediates and rarely gets queues at the lifts.

And of course we had our usual features - what's happening in sports, news and culture!
