Organfestival im Stadtcasino Basel - August 2021

Caterina Ciani and Thilo Muster from the Orgelfestival im Stadtcasino Basel stopped by the studio this evening to tell us about the upcoming festival. The Orgelfestival will take place from the 5th to the 12th of September. Renovations at the Stadtcasino, home to the Sinfonieorchester Basel, brought a new concert organ last year - and with it, the opportunity to show off the many facets of organ music. This year, the festival will include Basel choirs, an improvisation night with stars from London, Stockholm and Switzerland, a night of organ and dance, as well as a family concert with Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf.
