The Miserable Rich - New Song "Glue" and Kit Tarka Foundation - August 2023

The Miserable Rich are a UK chamber pop band formed in 2007. They released three albums and toured extensively in Europe before going on hiatus 2012. In 2018, the band reformed to play a benefit concert called KitFest. The concert was for the charity that singer James de Malplaquet and his wife Sarah set up after the tragic death of their first son at 13 days, when he contracted the HSV1 cold sore virus in hospital.

The charity Kit Tarka Foundation aimed to reduce infant mortality through research and education, funding the first study into neonatal death by HSV in the UK for over 25 years. Kit Tarka Foundation's work is now being continued by The Lullaby Trust.

The Miserable Rich wrote a song called «Glue» for Kitfest which has now been released – you can buy it on Bandcamp, where 50% of the proceeds from the sale of the track will be donated to The Lullaby Trust.

James de Malplaquet talked to us about The Miserable Rich, Kit, the charity, and how you can help.
