The City Is ALIVE!

It seems just a short time ago that we were lamenting lockdowns and other pandemic related restrictions which prevented our ability to socialize in our fair city...not any more...starting last weekend, Basel was host to the 125th anniversary of the International Zionist Congress, Federal Wrestling & Alpine Sport Festival, Klosterberg Festival , Seifenkistenrennen among other events.  The city was practically heaving with people and security - tram traffic was snarled, but people could hardly be bothered as the balmy, late summer weather accomodated everyone.  Tonight's musical theme was a musical menagerie of animal-named bands, a tribute to the diversity of Basel and its amazing diversity of people, places and things to do:
