The Upper Strata - Luap Elk Album

Broadcast on:
2 March, 2021

The Upper Strata combine guitar, bass and duelling vocals with loops, sequencers, beats, found sounds and videos. The duo's new album "Luap Elk" was released on December 18, 2020. It is a multi-layered musical journey inspired by Paul Klees' life and work. The Upper Strata's Johnny talked to us about the album concept just before the release.

This week, Johnny and Reg both came in to tell us about the album's unusual recording location, its new vinyl release (in red!), and the 24-page companion with artwork.

You can buy the album in all its formats on Bandcamp or at Schmocki's Ohrwurm Oase record shop on Güterstrasse 265 right here in Basel.

You can also win the beautiful vinyl & companion booklet - head over to our Facebook or Instagram for details.
