Democrats Abroad - Vivian Beetle; Rylla Resler - "Writers Tell All"

Broadcast on:
18 February, 2020

Democrats Abroad was in the studio this evening to discuss the upcoming Global Presidental Primary. "In Person" voting starts super Tuesday March 3rd, and ends on March 10th but you can download your ballots starting today.  Democrats Abroad is the overseas committee of the United States Democratic party. Democrats vote in the next weeks to determine which candidates our delegates will support at the Democratic National Convention in July.  Join the Democrats this Thursday (Feb 20) at Funkmiller's coffee shop in the Markthalle at 6-9 pm to discuss the current candidate list, and register to vote, if you haven't already.  In-person voting in Basel takes place on March 7 downstairs at L'Atelier and on March 10 at the Markthalle Wohnzimmer.

Democrats Abroad Switzerland is dedicated to finding all Americans living in or near Switzerland and helping them register to vote and request their ballots via VoteFromAbroad.org. Are you American, or do you know any Americans? Make sure they're registered to vote in their state and ready to participate in this year's historic election!

Rylla Resler was in the studio to tell us about the upcoming "Writers Tell All" author series with the GGG Basel West Library. On three Thursday evenings this spring, you can come and hear local authors talk about the process of writing and getting their books published. The series begins this Thursday, February 20th, and continues in March and April. If you've ever thought about publishing anything, here's your chance to learn from and quiz local authors.
