Volkshochschule - English Reading Group, Inside Ballett Theater Basel Blog

Andrea Bollinger came in to talk about the "Reading Group" (or book discussion group) she's leading for the Volkshochschule beider Basel in Liestal. After the Christmas break, the group will discuss some of W. Somerset Maugham's brilliant short stories. Maugham is a master story teller and his work always guarantees lively discussions. The reading group is a group of people with enough knowledge of English to do this - and it's a jolly good opportunity for expats to meet Swiss people who are fluent in English! Inside Ballett Theater Basel is a new creative video blog by three dancers of the Basel Ballet about the life of the Ballett Theater Basel. Armando Braswell, Max Zachrisson, Rubén Bañol Herrera, and Basel Ballett choreographer and director Richard Wherlock came in to give us the details. They are the masterminds behind the blog, where the public can discover a new perspective and vision of ballet and a ballet company today. The site uses video and videography to explore issues related to the Ballett Theater Basel, its community of artists, and issues of interest to the company's fans and supporters.
