Our food guru Sue Style was with us to talk about the Christmas Bazaar at the Anglican Church. The annual Bazaar, held this Saturday starting at 9:00 and going until 16:00, is a fun, relaxed event where you can meet friends and enjoy a taste of England while you peruse the home-made jams, marmalades and bakery on offer. There will also be English books and toys. Proceeds from all sales go to benefit the ministries of the church and selected charities.

American singer-songwriter John Grant has just released his new album Grey Tickles, Black Pressure. He was nominated for Best International Male Solo Artist at the Brit Awards with his previous album Pale Green Ghosts. Grant came to play at Basel’s Open Air in 2013 and he was back in Switzerland on the weekend to perform at the Kaufleuten in Zurich. He talked to Anna about learning Icelandic, sound design and his collaborators on the new album. Listen to the full interview here.

You can also find a short review and photographs of the concert at the Kaufleuten here.

The English Show is proud to participate in Radio X's 'Gesundheitsspots'. This is a series of short public service announcements designed to demystify Swiss health services in the listener's native language. This week's spots give an overview over children's health. To listen to them again, click here and here.
