Broadcast on:
16 December, 2014

This week, we talked to the authors of Hoi: Your New Swiss German Survival Guide, Sergio Lievano and Nicole Egger, about the new edition of their book now available. The book is an essential and FUN guide to Swiss German language and culture.

Listen to their interviews again here (Nicole) and here (Sergio).

Publisher Bergli Books is offering signed copies for Christmas. If you'd like to buy a signed copy as a Christmas present, you just need to place the order at www.bergli.ch before noon on Wednesday, 17th of December, and write in the remarks box who you'd like the book made out to. Author Sergio Lievano will sign and Bergli Books will pack the book and send it out - guaranteed before Christmas in Switzerland.

Sue Style came into the studio to tell us about the new annual edition of the restaurant guide Basel Geht Aus. The magazine, published only in German (look upon it as a great chance to polish up your gastronomic German), is split into several categories such as high-end eating or cuisine by region. Great to make new discoveries, find fun places to eat, and more. The magazine makes a great reference guide year round when you're short for dining-out ideas.
