Nic Oatridge, Olivia Streater Lavizzar, Alexia Gardner

Broadcast on:
9 April, 2013

This week, Nic Oatridge gave us top tips on where to go skiing in spring. Engelberg, Zermatt and Meiringen all still offer vast amounts of snow at this time of year. Of those three, Engelberg is the easiest of the great Swiss resorts to get to from Luzern by road or rail along the beautiful Engelberg valley. Listen to the show to get all the details!

Olivia Streater Lavizzar told Jake about the One Billion Rising dance fundraiser this Saturday, 13th April, at the Formbar für Bewegtes in Leimgrubenweg 9. The dance will raise funds for local women's projects in Basel. The fundraiser was initiated by a group of four women who were inspired by the message to encourage everyone to take action and create positive energy going forward. Anyone can join; no prior dance experience is necessary. All the details are on the group's Facebook page.

Jazz singer Alexia Gardner is facing the challenge of a lifetime: she's performing the lead role in Elton John's musical Aida. She talked to Anna about having to switch vocal ranges, singing in German, and how adrenaline helps conquer nerves. The shows in Berne kick off at the end of April. You can listen to the interview again here.
