April 20th, Au Soliel Biedertal, AWC Book Sale, Janet Stücklin

Maluvi from Au Soleil Biederthal came to the Radio X studio to tell us the latest news from this quirky Bistro over the French border. The last weekend of the month the bistro comes alive with music and art - look this Friday and Saturday for Aede performing at 20:00.

Janet Stücklin, of the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis is giving a recital on the Gothic Harp and Fiddle at a Guided Evening of Medieval Music at the Kartäuserkirche next Tuesday at 20:15 -  just after our show.  She joins Maria in the studio with a dual strung harp tonight to tell us a bit about the development of the harp, and preview the first piece of her program, Trotto.

Cara Rynerson informs us about a book sale this week hosted by the American Women's Club of Basel. The annual sale raises money for the care and upkeep of Basel's largest English language library, located at Centrepoint near Barfüsserplatz. The booksale is Thursday from 10- 6 and Friday  from 10-2 - so sneak away from work at lunch and stock up for your summer reading.
