26 January: Amy Stapleton, Joanne Ralph & Maurizio Coppola
We have two tickets to give away for The Dubliners on Sunday 7th February at the Stadtcasino. Write us to ask for them - the first one to ask wins!
Maurizio Coppola was interviewed by Matt. Maurizio is co-secretary of Attac, a Swiss political group whose aims are democratic control of financial markets and institutions. They'll be organising events in Basel to coincide with the WEF in Davos this month - not at the WEF but at "Das Andere Davos", a forum for voices and opinions which are not usually heard at the official events. More information can be found at www.otherdavos.net
Amy Stapleton went wandering into France...on a trip to Chamonix and Lyon. How to get there: train to Geneva and then a transfer taxi ride Or via Martigny. Chamonix, on the base of Mont Blanc was the site of the 1924 Winter Olympics. Another easy day-trip from Geneva is Lyon- which is just a TVG ride away.
Together with its suburbs and satellite towns, Lyon forms the second-largest metropolitan area in France after that of Paris, and for several centuries Lyon has been known as the French capital of gastronomy, - so start your trip eating across France here.
