After works drinks in the Sunshine? Yes please!

Well, I know I feel elated to find that a sunny day gives me the possibility of meeting up with friends after work to socialize in the last rays of the days light.  So, I thought I would share with you my top tips on where to meet up for drinks or food on one of Basel’s sunny evenings.

Watch the world go by at Il Café, situated opposite Feldpausch and the Hyazinth perfumery.  Great coffee, friendly staff and my favorite tuna panini all for 12CHF.

Campari bar is my number 1 after work drinking spot.  Nestled behind the Tingleuy fountain at Theatre, it’s a busy, lively cafe/bar and a top place to check out what the ladies of Basel are wearing now…I love to hand bag spot in Campari, there is always a plethora of Hermes Birkins for me to lust after……  A stange will set you back 5CHF, G’n’T 14CHF, champagne 18CHF.

For a cool venue on Klein Basel side of the river, head to the KaBar at Kaserne.

DesArts is the place to be on Tuesday nights in the summer as they host an after work night.  The bar doesn’t get busy until 9:00 which is late for a school night but there’s always a good vibe there.

Many of the restaurants I have reviewed over the last year have outdoor seating, Negishi sushi, the Hasenberg, La fonda and the Weinstube at the Teufelhof…..read reviews for those restaurant on our website!

For something a bit special I would recommend eating outside at the schussel zumpft.  Why?  Great food, wonderful surrounds but it’s a bit pricey, a three course meal will set you back over 100CHF.

ENJOY the sunshine! Basel has a lot of great outdoor eating
